On The Beach Tonight...New Date...Podcast

Nov 7 | Posted by: Bill Whyte |

It’s early Thursday morning and the bags and a guitar are ready to load up for a trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama this morning, site of the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival where our “Hits & Grins” trio has three shows starting with a 7 pm show this evening at Lulu’s.

This is the 35th Anniversary of this great songwriters affair on the beach, and though I was not there for the first festival…I’ve sure done a lot of them and would not miss it for anything.  It’s a chance to see the ocean, hang with old friends made down there through the years, and hang out with a lot of talented folks, many of whom are co-writers of mine.  This year, even Mac Davis is part of this!

A couple of quick things before I sign off.

For those of you in Nashville I just put a new date on my calendar for “Hits & Grins” at Puckett’s in Franklin, Tennessee.  It’s an 8:30 pm show.  We don’t get a ton of chances to play in town, so if you’re here or going to be here at that time comes see us.  Great venue, great food and drinks and it’s a wonderful listening room that’s usually packed.  So do call ahead and make a reservation.

Also…I did a long interview with the husband and wife team of Jason and Theresa Mason for their “True Country” podcast that will air shortly.  The show is produced in Grapevine, Texas part of the Dallas Metro.  As soon as they post it I’ll give you a link where you can listen if you’d like.

So that’s it…off to the beach.  Have a great Thursday!
