MOVIE SONG!

I was happy to receive the news that my song "Cornhole" a musical ditty about the popular beanbag game played in the Midwest will indeed surface in the flick "CORNHOLE THE MOVIE"! How bout that?

The movie was shot three year or so ago in Cincinnati and the the world premiere will be held at the Madison Theater in Cincinnati at 7pm and 9:30pm. There will be an East Coast Premiere in Syracuse (as part of the special programming of the Syracuse International Film Festival) and then a DVD Launch party in Chicago on July 10th.

The movie looks to be great fun...and my song will be heard when the credits roll at the end of the movie. So don't leave your seat early!

And yes...that's me singing!

Elaine Mello-Clarke the lead actress...and her husband Tim came by the morning show I hosted in Cincinnati with Amanda Orlando to promote the movie and I wrote a song for consideration that night and sent it to them. It's not polished...just me and the guitar. But apparently the "organic" sound of it appealed to them and voila...I'm ready for my close up!

And...look for my radio partner and great friend Amanda Orlando in it too! She plays a TV reporter...so don't miss that.

My thanks to Elaine and Tim for choosing my song...it's a thrill. I was told later that they had hundreds of submissions from some of the best writers in LA...and kept coming back to this little song of mine. I'm always grateful for those wonderful unexpected musical blessings that happen in my life.

Unfortunately...I have a commitment that weekend near Atlanta at the Swallow At The Hollow and will have to miss it. I do hate that...but...I'll be spending the evening in the round with my great friends Linda Davis and Lang Scott...and that's not a bad alternative.

I do hope you enjoy the movie and the song. Send me a note after you hear "Cornhole" and see the movie itself. And get the big bucket of popcorn!
